| Charles Darwin made many great achievements but probably one of his
greatest is The Origin of Species. The book The Origin of Species was
published in 1859. It was an instant success. All 1250 copies were sold out on the first
day. Every naturalist or scientist wanted to see what Darwin had to say and what all the
fuss was about. The Origin of Species made Darwin the most famous scientist in
Europe. He had proved the idea of evolution. Another achievement of Darwin was his voyage on the Beagle half way around the world. He was seasick the whole five-year trip. Also a very peculiar achievement was his eight-year study on barnacles. Charles also wrote quite a few books including a short auto-biography in 1867. Charles Darwin has definitely changed the history of man. |
